“My days pass away like a shadow, and I wither like the grass.“  (Psalm 102:11)

It can be a comfort to know that our individual lives are but small pieces in the infinite Life, which is God creating and recreating endlessly.  Look at the sky (or a video clip of clouds moving across the sky).  Notice how each cloud casts its momentary shadow upon the land below, and then moves on.  Think of your earthly life as this shadow, and your eternal life as the unending reality of sky and sun and cloud formations.

Prayer: Your love, O Lord, is from everlasting to everlasting.
