The “beyondness” of God–God’s vastness and omnipotence–inspires awe and humility.  Allow your mind to search for experiences or images that convey the transcendence of God.  For some, this might be an image of a spectacular mountain peak, or a newborn baby, or a photograph from the Hubble space telescope (www.hubblesite.org).  Describe your feelings as you ponder these images.
