“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God–what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

As you begin this day, pray for awareness and the ability to recognize the subtle ways in which our culture promotes or condones practices and beliefs that are contrary to the gospel.  Keep count of every example of advertising you see or hear–on the television or radio, Internet and in magazines, on bulletin boards, or as logos on articles of clothing or automobiles.  At the end of the day look at your list.  Is t longer or shorter than you expected?

Prayer: Give me a discerning mind, Spirit of Wisdom.
