“Turn from evil and do good.” (Ps. 34:14)

Stand quietly, with eyes closed.  Invite your consciousness to become aware of those things that are destructive in this world–sources of oppression and injustice in social systems, or addictions and dysfunctions that result in destructive behavior that hurts self and others.  Face these evils.  Then turn around and face the opposite way.  Envision Jesus standing in front of you.  Take a step toward him, and hold out your arms in embrace.

Prayer: O Christ, deliver me from evil, and turn my heart toward you.
